Dear Colleagues I would thank you all the NOS members for your enthusiasm and cooperation for my NOS presidency over almost two years. I have enjoyed working with the leaders of the organization and the members and wish to particularly thank the Executive Committee.

The 24th Annual Meeting of the Nepal Ophthalmic Society NOSCON 2022 will be held on 14-15th October 2022 in Sauraha Chitawan, a tourist spot of the country listed in UNESCO heritage.

I would like to welcome you all to this conference to greet and meet in personal. The members of organizing committee and all other members of the Society who are tirelessly trying to make this event a great success, for this hard work I am very much grateful to them.

The theme of this conference is “Promote Science and Art of Eye care in Nepal.” In recent years, Ophthalmology has made significant progress in research and practice. It has a history of inheriting knowledge and techniques that has been built over a long period of time, and creating new understanding of pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment. “The art of eye care” is the subject of all human activities, including society, culture, and academia.

Our conferences are becoming very popular every year, as is evident by ever increasing delegates attending them. The quality and scientific value of papers during these years has also improved a great deal. The current knowledge of Ophthalmology will be passed on to the next generation, and new Ophthalmology will be created, leading to the future. Nepal Ophthalmic Society aims to play a leading part in the ongoing technological innovation.
