OPD Performance :<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

A total of <\/span>2,77,642<\/b><\/span> patients visits were recorded and received eye care services from out patient department at Bharatpur Eye Hospital (base hospital) and its networks that includes 2 secondary eye hospitals 17 eye care centers and 1 City clinic in the year 2023-24. There is 10% increase in OPD patients at base hospital compared to previous year 2022-23 and 70% more patients were served through eye care centres compared to previous year.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Out of 1,61,776 OPD patients visits in based hospital, <\/span>96,582 <\/b><\/span>(59.70%) of patients took the eye services through health insurance policy. More female patients are seeking eye care services than male patients at base hospital.<\/span><\/p>

Surgical Performance :<\/span><\/b><\/h5>

A total of 11,219<\/strong> ocular surgeries of various categories were performed in the year 2023-24<\/strong> that includes surgeries performed at base hospital, secondary eye hospitals and outreach camps. Of the total surgeries, 9,488<\/strong> (84.57%) were sight restoring cataract surgeries, including those performed through various DST and surgical camps.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Majority of the cataract surgeries performed in the hospital were phaco surgeries (4,312). 2,944 (31.4%) cataract surgeries were performed through various DST and surgical camps. Only 1,731 (15.58%) surgeries were other than cataract surgeries.<\/span><\/p>

Performance of Secondary Eye Hospitals, Eye Care Centers\nand Outreach Activities<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

There are 2 secondary eye hospitals and 18 Eye Care Centers. Community outreach activities are the major activities of the hospital being conducted all the year round. In this year a total of 59 DST camps, 16 Surgical Camps, 4 DR camps, 101 school screening, 1 color vision test camps and 8 work place camp were performed. A total of 42,894 patients took their service through these outreach activities. 2,944 sight restoring cataract surgeries were performed through DST and Surgical camps, contributing to 31.4% of total cataract surgeries performed this year. 29,017 OPD patients were served from 2 secondary eye hospitals (Kawasoti and Thori) and 57,999 patients were served through 18 eye care centers<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
